FMM Runs Heat Stress Awareness and Emergency Response Campaign

Building Prevention and Readiness for the Summer Season
FMM held a Heat Stress Awareness and Emergency Response Campaign to build employees’ understanding of heat stress prevention and emergency readiness during the summer season. The campaign gave staff hands-on demonstrations in first aid and emergency response, recognizing heat illness symptoms, using electrolyte solutions,
and staying properly hydrated.
Participants also learned how heat stress is monitored, including the use of Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) meters and how to read the measurements in line with ministerial requirements. Beyond the mandatory training, the campaign gave employees an interactive space to build their knowledge through demonstrations, discussion, and shared experience.
The session covered welfare provisions, proper PPE, monitoring tools, rest and recovery arrangements, and the steps that protect workers’ health during high temperatures.
FMM thanked all participants and trainers for their part in the campaign.
